Print Advertisements (sample ad)

Running ads in local publications can be a good option for attracting new patients.  Remember that most people need to see an ad multiple times before they act, so consider running your ad over the course of several months (preferably during the peak allergy seasons of spring and fall).

Get free publicity by using a press release to inform the media about your allergy program. Write your own press release (see instructions and samples below) or contact us if you would like our public relations specialist to write one for you.

Newspaper Columns

For more free publicity, offer to write a series of allergy-related columns  for your local newspaper.  Submit them with a physician photo as well as contact information for your clinic.  Many newspapers welcome the “expert” content.

If you already advertise with a newspaper, you have even more leverage for getting your column in print.  Start with your ad rep, and ask if he or she can help you get your column published.  Remember that your columns will likely pack the biggest punch if they run in spring or fall, so contact the newspaper a month or two in advance of these seasons.  You can write your own columns or tweak these samples to fit your clinic.
